Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems to ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence within the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the hospital’s Quality Management and Patient Safety programs.
- Conduct regular quality audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with national and international healthcare standards.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical and non-clinical processes to improve service delivery.
- Analyse data and prepare quality performance reports for management review.
- Facilitate incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Coordinate accreditation and certification processes.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, safety, and best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning across all units.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS / MBChB) from a recognised institution.
- Must be a licensed medical practitioner with a valid practising license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- 5–7 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare quality management, clinical governance, or hospital administration.
- Strong knowledge of clinical quality improvement frameworks, patient safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Experience with hospital accreditation systems (ISO, JCI, or COHSASA) is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organisational change.
