Job Position: People & Culture Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

The People & Culture Manager is responsible for building and managing Strivo Labs’ people strategy internally and externally.

This role combines HR operations, recruitment, learning & development, and employee engagement with client-facing responsibilities in talent placement and training.

The ideal candidate is passionate about people, highly organised, and able to balance culture-building with operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
People Operations:

  1. Develop and oversee HR policies, systems, and processes that support a high-performance culture.
  2. Manage employee life cycle processes (onboarding, probation, performance reviews, exit management).
  3. Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  4. Partner with finance to ensure accurate payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with labour laws.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  1. Lead recruitment for internal roles: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  2. Build and manage a strong pipeline of Digital Partners and Lifted talent for client placements.
  3. Develop recruitment campaigns and partnerships to attract high-calibre candidates.
  4. Implement recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, quality-of-hire, retention).

Training & Development:

  1. Design and deliver internal training programs to strengthen staff capability.
  2. Coordinate leadership development and skills-based training.
  3. Develop training modules for client talent placement projects, ensuring readiness for assignments.
  4. Monitor training outcomes and continuously improve content.

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  1. Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and performance.
  2. Implement regular engagement initiatives (team check-ins, surveys, recognition programs).
  3. Plan and deliver company events, retreats, and wellness activities.
  4. Act as a trusted partner for employee relations, resolving conflicts and supporting staff wellbeing.

Talent Placement & Client Support:

  1. Work with clients to understand talent needs, skills gaps, and team culture.
  2. Match internal and external talent to client roles across different seniority levels.
  3. Oversee client-facing onboarding, performance monitoring, and feedback systems.
  4. Provide advisory on workforce development strategies for clients.

Administration & Compliance:

  1. Support general office and administrative operations where needed.
  2. Ensure HR and talent placement processes align with organisational and legal requirements.
  3. Maintain HRIS / ATS systems and generate reports for management decision-making.
  4. Track HR budgets and ensure cost-effective people management practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
  2. 5+ years’ experience in HR, People Operations, or related roles.
  3. Proven success in recruitment, training, and culture-building.
  4. Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices (Nigeria/UK experience preferred).
  5. Experience working with tech, consulting, or professional services firms is an asset.
