Job Position: Procurement Officer (Manufacturing)
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for company projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in project-based procurement within a multinational environment and demonstrate strong vendor management, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage the end-to-end procurement process for project materials and services.
  2. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  3. Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in line with company policies.
  4. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to forecast procurement needs.
  6. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  7. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  8. Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and new suppliers.
  9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  10. Support in developing procurement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 2 – 3 years of proven experience in project procurement, preferably in a multinational company.
  3. Strong negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
  4. Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and procurement software/tools.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
