Job Position: Procurement Officer (Manufacturing)
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for company projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in project-based procurement within a multinational environment and demonstrate strong vendor management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for project materials and services.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in line with company policies.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to forecast procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and new suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Support in developing procurement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 – 3 years of proven experience in project procurement, preferably in a multinational company.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and procurement software/tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
