Job Position: Customer Service Representative
Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service and satisfaction throughout their shopping experience.

Job Responsibilities
Customer Interaction & Service:

  1. Greet customers warmly and offer assistance promptly.
  2. Listen carefully to customer requests
  3. Provide knowledgeable advice to customers
  4. Upsell and suggest alternatives
  5. Handle complaints or returns professionally and resolve issues quickly.
  6. Take special or bulk orders accurately and ensure proper follow-up.

Product Preparation & Presentation:

  1. Communicate customer orders clearly to the production team.
  2. Ensure products are weighed, priced, packaged, and labelled accurately before delivery.
  3. Maintain attractive product displays and ensure counters are well-stocked.

Sales & Transactions:

  1. Operate the cash register/POS system efficiently.
  2. Process payments (cash, card, etc.) accurately and issue receipts.
  3. Follow up on outstanding customer payments regularly.
  4. Handle customer orders and invoices for catering or wholesale clients.

Teamwork & Shop Operations:

  1. Communicate effectively with colleagues (butchers, cashiers, delivery personnel).
  2. Monitor customer orders and report shortages or unavailable items.
  3. Support daily opening and closing duties, including cleaning and cash balancing.
  4. Participate in store promotions or seasonal campaigns

Requirements

  1. OND / HND / B.Sc. Degree in any related field.
  2. 2 – 3 years of proven experience in customer service, preferably in a food retail environment.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  5. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
