Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to transform raw sales and market data into actionable insights for our sales and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will track trends, forecast demand, and highlight growth opportunities across regions and product lines — enabling the business to prioritise high-potential products and markets.

This role blends data analysis, reporting, and strategic thinking to provide critical support to our commercial operations.

Job Responsibilities
Sales Trend Analysis:

  1. Analyse historical sales of PET Preforms and chemicals to identify high-demand products, seasonal trends, and sales fluctuations.
  2. Highlight emerging product trends and shifts in customer preferences.

Market & Regional Insights:

  1. Identify growth opportunities across regions, states, and industries.
  2. Monitor competitor activity and general market trends in Nigeria.
  3. Recommend new customer segments and expansion strategies.

Dashboard & Reporting:

  1. Develop interactive dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to visualise key business metrics.
  2. Prepare regular MIS reports summarising product demand, regional performance, and seasonal variations.
  3. Provide ad hoc reports to support sales initiatives and market campaigns.

Inventory & Procurement Support:

  1. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align product demand insights with inventory planning.
  2. Highlight slow-moving products and recommend rationalisation or reallocation strategies.

Forecasting & Scenario Analysis:

  1. Use historical data to forecast future demand by product, region, or customer segment.
  2. Conduct scenario analysis to guide sales and procurement decisions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  1. Work closely with the sales team to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  2. Present findings clearly to management to support informed business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas).
  3. Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools for dashboard creation.
  4. Knowledge of SQL or database querying is an advantage.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in chemical trading, industrial products, or the FMCG sectors.
  2. Understanding of seasonal demand patterns and market cycles.
  3. Familiarity with Nigeria’s industrial and chemical market is a plus.

Salary
N200,000 Monthly.
