Job Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Location: Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses to support disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

The role is essential to both academic training sessions and patient care activities within the College’s health facilities in Ekiti.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collect, process, and analyse biological samples such as blood, urine, and tissue.
  2. Conduct routine and specialised laboratory tests following standard operating procedures.
  3. Calibrate, maintain, and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory instruments.
  4. Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and on time.
  5. Uphold safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards in all laboratory operations.
  6. Manage laboratory inventory and ensure the availability of required materials.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology from an accredited institution.
  2. Certification from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) or equivalent authority.
  3. At least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a healthcare or academic setting.
  4. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, data recording, and analysis.
  5. Strong computer literacy and familiarity with office and laboratory management software.
  6. Must possess a valid practising license.
