Job Description
Learning and Development (L&D) Officer is responsible for identifying training needs, developing learning initiatives, and implementing programs that support employee growth and organizational performance.
The role involves coordinating training sessions, evaluating their effectiveness, and ensuring continuous improvement of learning processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify organizational and employee training needs through assessments, surveys, and performance analysis.
- Develop, design, and implement training programs, workshops, and learning materials.
- Coordinate internal and external training activities, including scheduling, communication, and logistics.
- Maintain updated records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
- Support managers and team leads with learning resources and development tools.
- Collaborate with HR to integrate learning initiatives into employee performance and development plans.
- Monitor learning industry trends and introduce best practices to the organization.
- Manage learning platforms and e-learning tools where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, HR, Training, or related roles.
- Relevant certifications in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or HR (added advantage).
- Experience designing and facilitating training programs is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to design effective learning materials.
- Good organizational and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
