Job Overview

As part of our growth strategy, Proforce Intelligence Systems is seeking a highly driven Business Development Officer with strong experience and networks within the defence, military, and national security sectors.

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the defence and security market.

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong stakeholder relationships, and the ability to position advanced technology and cybersecurity solutions to government and defence-related organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to penetrate the defense, military, and national security markets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with defense agencies, armed forces, intelligence units, and related government institutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and strategic partners within the defense ecosystem.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity identification, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to tailor solutions that meet defense and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Monitor defense sector trends, procurement cycles, and emerging threats to align offerings with market needs.
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Represent Proforce Intelligence Systems at defense exhibitions, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and reports for management review.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Security Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of business development or sales experience within the defense, military, security, or government technology sector.
  • Proven track record of winning contracts and closing deals in defense or government environments.
  • Strong understanding of defense procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Existing network within defense, military, or national security organizations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, intelligence systems, data analytics, or advanced technology solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
