Job Summary

The Solutions Architect Associate supports strategic sales engagements, drives thought leadership across functions, and contributes to Equinix’s global sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth in an assigned territory.

This role provides technology and solution-based guidance, bridging network, data center, and cloud/IT infrastructure into repeatable offers.

Key focus areas include strategic sales engagements, development of offers, repeatable solutions, and use cases across the five sales verticals within the Equinix Ecosystem: Network, Financial, Cloud, Content/Digital Media, and Enterprise.

Job Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sales Support:
   • Assist in strategic sales engagements by applying professional concepts and guidelines
   • Support development of solution proposals aligned with customer requirements
2. Research and Development:
   • Apply knowledge and problem-solving techniques to define and resolve technical challenges
3. Subject Matter Expertise:
   • Develop foundational expertise in network architecture, interconnection, and cloud integration
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Build strong internal relationships and exchange technical information with colleagues, supervisors, and project leaders
5. Technology and Innovation Insights:
   • Stay informed on emerging technologies in networking, cloud, and data center infrastructure
6. Solution Development:
   • Contribute to creating repeatable solutions and use cases for customer deployments

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
2. Experience: 0 – 2 years in networking, cloud, or IT infrastructure roles
3. Certifications (Required): CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
4. Network Design Certification (optional but preferred)
5. Cloud Certifications (Optional but Preferred)
6. AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
7. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
8. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
9. Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, and interconnection principles
10. Familiarity with cloud architectures and hybrid IT environments is a plus
11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
