Job Position: IT Compliance Auditor (3 Openings)
Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos and Rivers

Job Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Audit Lead to plan internal audits.
  2. Attend meetings, interview staff to gather audit evidence, documents and information.
  3. Analyse data to identify financial reporting errors, fraud, and operational risks.
  4. Observe and examine business procedures, including stock, accounts, and financial records, and perform financial and operational audits.
  5. Evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures and external regulations.
  6. Assure adequacy of security and controls to support business.
  7. Review internal control policies/procedures to ensure adequate coverage.
  8. Assess existing risk management processes and accurately record results.
  9. Recommend appropriate mitigating controls for identified security/control risks and follow up with responsible teams to treat the risks.
  10. Recommend improvements and updates to policies and procedures where required.
  11. Perform risk-based reviews of IT systems.
  12. Promptly identify and report IT process/operational lapses, investigate IT incidents and detect operational/ fraud/ business losses.
  13. Participate in IT Projects and product development to identify risks and recommend appropriate controls.
  14. Review system deployments to ascertain that security and controls were incorporated, including validating the compliance of development teams to the organisation’s business policies & procedures
  15. Review IT operations controls, staffing, training requirements, conditions of service and adequate segregation of duties.
  16. Deliver on other assignments delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements

  1. HND / BSc. Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields. A master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  2. 3+ years’ internal audit, internal control, IT Audit or IT Control experience.
  3. Possession of one or more of the ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or CISM is an advantage.
  4. Well-organised, good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent numerical, analytic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Sound judgment and a high level of objectivity.
  7. Strong understanding of the payments technology industry
  8. Demonstrated ability to think creatively to identify new ways to approach common risk and data security problems.
  9. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn the business needs, processes, software, and systems.
  10. Ability to multitask and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously
  11. Strong analytical, organisational and presentation skills
  12. Excellent written, verbal communication skills and the ability to synthesise information and make clear, concise recommendations.
