African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state—the first of its kind in Nigeria.

Job Position: Horticulturist
Location: Gujeni, Kaduna

About the Role

The Horticulturist will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining plantation, greenbelt development, and mine rehabilitation activities to support environmental management and statutory compliance at the mining project.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Carry out plantation and greenbelt development works within and around the mining area
  2. Manage nursery operations and maintenance of saplings
  3. Assist in the biological reclamation and rehabilitation of mined-out and dump areas
  4. Ensure irrigation, fertilisation, pruning, and pest management
  5. Monitor plant growth and survival percentage
  6. Maintain records related to plantation and environmental activities
  7. Support environmental audits and statutory inspections
  8. Supervise gardeners, helpers, and contract labour

Qualification & Experience

  1. Candidates should possess a Degree/Diploma in Horticulture / Agriculture / Forestry / Botany with 2–5 years of relevant experience
  2. Experience in mining or industrial projects is an added advantage.
