Job Description

Summary
- The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (48 hours per week)
- Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Travel Required:
- 75% or less
- Applicant operates variety of vehicles including armored SUVs, armored suburban, and armored van as instructed by the DAO to transport Mission Nigeria DoD personnel including VIP visitors, TDY staff, delegations and field trips.
Job Responsibilities
- The incumbent operates safety and efficiently an unarmored U.S. Government-owned or leased motor vehicle to transport passengers and/or cargo.
- S / he works as a messenger and administrative clerk as directed. Maintains vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition, including cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
- Performs basic vehicle inspection in accordance with established schedules and policies.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in driving is required.
- Job Knowledge: Good working knowledge of the city and it environments, including driving routes and traffic patterns. Must be familiar with the location of hospitals, police and fire stations within the city and its immediate surroundings.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School or high school diploma
Evaluations:

Language:
- Limited knowledge Speaking / Reading / Writing in English is required.
Skills and Abilities Optional:
- Must have the ability to read maps and plan driving routes.
- Must have good verbal communication skills, and an ability to handle all persons with professionalism and discretion.
- Must be able to perform basic vehicle inspection and must possess intermediate-level automotive maintenance skills.
- Must have computer skills to draft and maintain reports, organize files, and for communication purposes.
- Must have valid Nigeria driver’s license.

- The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
