- Job Position: Back End Developer
- Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Responsibilities
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications.
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Perform tests to optimize performance.
- Design, develop and document API and specifications.
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features.
- Ensure the backend is reliable and has a 99.9% uptime.
- Setup pipelines/actions for automatic deployment.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work remotely without supervision.
- Proven experience as a Back-end developer.
- Understanding of release/version management with tools like Git.
- Understanding of the web development process (design, development, and deployment).
- Experience with server stacks like LAMP, LEMP, MEAN.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Microservice and API architecture.
- Experience with database applications(eg MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDb).
- Familiarity with front-end languages(HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
- Excellent analytical and time management skills.
- Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Working knowledge of CMS frameworks like WordPress is not optional.
- Experience with server & client-side image manipulation is a huge plus.
Salary:
N150,000/month
