Job Position: Account Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Budgeting, Cash Flow and Financial Management
  2. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  3. Advice on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  4. Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  5. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  6. Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
  7. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  8. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  9. Manage the preparation of the company’s budget with departments.
  10. Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  11. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  12. Document Management – Ensure the filing system is up to date.
  13. Profit and Loss Reporting.
  14. Revenue Collation and Assurance follow up with Internal Control.
  15. Oversee Fixed Asset Management.
  16. Direct research and strategic planning efforts related to tax issues.
  17. Supervise the account team
  18. Perform other duties that will be assigned to you

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc in Accounting / Economics
  2. ACCA/ICAN/ACA is an added advantage.
  3. Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
  4. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Quick Books ERP
  5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  6. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  7. Extensive understanding of financial trends, both within the company and general market patterns.
  8. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  9. Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used/followed.
  10. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  11. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulation.
