Job Position: Account Assistant

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • The Account Assistant will work hand-in-hand with the Accountant in preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Also to assist in other aspects, generate a summary of the current financial status by collecting information; and as well as preparing a Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, and other reports.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  2. Prepare accounts and balance sheets, profit and loss accounts.
  3. Management account preparation.
  4. Keep records of debit/ credit for all suppliers/ contractors and consultants.
  5. Allocation of funds to various departments as per budget provisions.
  6. Checking of bills with respect to terms and conditions of contract/order.
  7. Preparing and submitting a periodical statement of accounts to the management.
  8. Ensure bank payments, PAYE and statutory payments are paid as at when due.
  9. Work on client management and documentation.
  10. Ensure requisitions approval and disbursement of all payments are being followed up with the Accountant.
  11. To perform administrative function of interfacing with the clients at the office on matters related to accounting transactions.
  12. Processing of payment receipts and invoices.
  13. Maintenance of Clients’ documents/files and ensure proper record keeping for all clients.
  14. Assist in computing taxes owed and preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  2. Minimum of 2 years work experience.
  3. Must be 27 years and below.
  4. Basic knowledge of Accounting procedures
  5. Knowledge of quickbook is a must.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Organisational skills.
  8. Good Accuracy skills.
  9. Must be computer literate.
  10. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.

Salary
NGN110,000 – NGN120,000 / Month + HMO, pension, airtime allowance, Life Insurance.
