Job Position: Account Executive

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely close and reporting.
  2. Conduct an in-depth analysis of the company’s financial performance using relevant KPIs.
  3. Oversee preparation of the group consolidated management accounts every month.
  4. Review and validate general ledger entries on the ERP for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Review and validate all invoices (both customer and supplier) and accounting schedules (e.g., fixed asset register, payment schedules, receivables aging analysis)
  6. Oversee the reconciliation of inter company accounts across the group.
  7. Monitor cashflow balances and debt obligations across the group.
  8. Supervise credit risk management process including supporting collection of receivables.
  9. Monitor FX risks and hedging instruments across the group.
  10. Coordinate all audit activities including statutory and tax audits to ensure timely completion.
  11. Supervise financial operations of subsidiary companies.
  12. Monitor tax compliance and ensure all tax obligations are paid and filed on time.
  13. Oversee the implementation of accounting policies and recommend improvements where necessary.
  14. Conduct frequent review of accounting processes and internal controls and advise management on risk areas and mitigating strategies.
  15. Monitor updates in financial laws and regulations and advise management on compliance.
  16. Provide technical advice on financial reporting issues.
  17. Supervise and coach Finance team members.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines
  2. Chartered accounting qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is required.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in accounting, finance, or audit, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.
  4. A qualified candidate with a solid finance and accounting experience most preferably female.
  5. Residents with close proximity to the Island is at advantage.
