Job Position: Key Account Manager

Job Location: Lagos State, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a skilled Key Account Manager to oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients.
  2. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements.
  3. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.
  4. The sales and marketing team cultivates connections with wireless, vertical market, and broadcast clients in order to produce new collocations and in-building network installations.
  5. Your daily efforts will be directed at establishing new site leasing contracts with the Company's significant carrier clients.
  6. Within a certain geographic zone, you will locate and create new business sales opportunities for all provided goods and services.
  7. You will collaborate across departments to obtain consumer knowledge, comprehend the network requirements of our clients, and match the Company solutions to those required to assist client network growth and development.
  8. The goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  2. Effectively market and lease the Company’s products (such as communication infrastructure space and back-up power solutions) and services to major carrier customer accounts.
  3. Understand customers’ businesses, network build plans, and budget and approval processes to provide impactful customer intelligence to national account leaders.
  4. Identify new business opportunities with named wireless carriers, tower owners, consultants, and other new prospects through research, calls, meetings, and presentations.
  5. Develop clear, impactful sales account plans for assigned customers.
  6. Broaden and deepen key relationships within customer accounts to increase account knowledge and influence.
  7. Maintain good working knowledge of all product and service offerings in our company portfolio.
  8. Provide accurate and timely pipeline and lease-up forecasts in Salesforce.
  9. Approximately 10% of the time the role will be performed outside of a conventional office environment.  Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  10. Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  11. Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  12. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  13. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust  Closing deals and meeting targets
  14. Working closely with the Sales team for achievement of business goals
  15. Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  16. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

Job Requirements

  1. BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  2. A minimum of 5 years of sales or proven experience as key account manager in a telecoms Industry
  3. A minimum of 3 years of wireless, telecommunications, or real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
  4. Experience using customer relationship management and forecasting tools such as Salesforce preferred.
  5. Ability to understand and develop basic business models and cases.
  6. Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
  7. Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  9. Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
