Job Position: Account Officer / Cashier

Job Location: Ogba – Mainland, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Receive cash and cheque payments from customers and issue receipts.
  2. Locate and reconcile posting errors on customers’ invoices
  3. Reconcile cash and cheque amounts with total monies received.
  4. Prepare bank deposit slips
  5. Facilitates the availability of funds to meet day-to-day operational petty cash expenses and emergencies.
  6. Maintains records to allow easy disbursement, reconciliation and replenishment
  7. Processes expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper accountability of all cash advances
  8. Creates and maintains records of cash requestsand disbursements
  9. Reconciles all received cash, which have been recorded in the petty cash book, with expenses
  10. Processes payment for accounts and issuing receipts
  11. Keeps records of amounts received and paid, and regularly checking the cash balance against this record
  12. Collects money from bank for safe keeping before reimbursements
  13. Files all documents concerning cash payment and collection
  14. Responds to queries regarding approvals, payment limits and deadlines for retirements etc.
  15. Retires the various impress accounts
  16. Prepares daily and weekly collections and payment summary reports for review by the station supervisor

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of an ATS / OND in Accounting or any Finance related discipline
  2. Minimum of one (1) year work experience in a similar role
  3. Ability to meet deliverables
  4. Very sound in Microsoft Office
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Highly emotionally intelligent to manage clients & colleagues.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment,
  • Ability to work under pressure,
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
