Job Position: Account / Admin Officer

Job Description

  • We are looking for a talented and dynamic Account Officer who can handle the financial records of an organization, oversee accounts, manage invoices, and ensure smooth transactions with clients.
  • This position requires the ability to feel comfortable communicating in a professional way

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
  2. Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
  3. Prompt monthly filings for ALL statutory obligations – PAYE, Pension, ECS, VAT, WHT. and obtain receipts for same.
  4. Support in the processing of payroll/salaries
  5. Prompt and daily postings on QuickBooks.
  6. Ensure the completion of all month-end close activities related to cost accounting.
  7. Support Line Manager in the prompt delivery of Management Accounts.
  8. Ensure completion of bank reconciliations and reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledgers on a monthly basis.
  9. Observe the following on all tasks, emails/communication, phone calls, and relationship within the team and with all clients – Timeliness, Promptness, Correctness, Error-free, Paying attention to details, decency, respect, excellence, professionalism.
  10. Provide systems that insure an adequate level of internal control of the accuracy of cost financial data
  11. Review all the financial controls that support inventory accuracy
  12. Build professional capability of the Cost Accounting Team and ensure decorum and professionalism in the delivery of tasks.
  13. Provide support for the implementation of new policies where appropriate.
  14. Develop and implement a facility maintenance program (all company assets)
  15. Organize and supervise administrative staff and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
  16. Handle complaints on disruptions and faults on utilities and follow up promptly for re-connection/repairs.
  17. Maintain adequate inventory of all items in store and prepare requisition for store items that are in short supply.
  18. Any other duties assigned by managements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3 -5 years of experience in Accounting field or a similar area
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.

Benefits

  • Salary: N100,000.00 – N130,000.00 / Month
