Job Position: Account Officer
Location: Durumi, Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.
  2. Account Management: Opening, serving demand notices, championing premises inspection and issuing certificates.
  3. Transaction Processing: Make presentations, administer and process all types of recovery actions, negotiate, follow up accurately and efficiently.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring all transactions and operations comply with regulations and internal policies to minimise risk.
  5. Data management: Maintain and update records within the appropriate database relating to billings and revenue collections
  6. Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and account-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Sales and Business Development: Identifying opportunities to recover and services to existing clients, and potentially generating new business through referrals and networking.
  8. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, preparing reports, and contributing to the overall reporting of the organisation.
  9. Collaboration: Working closely with other departments within the organisation to ensure seamless service delivery.
  10. Continuous Learning: Staying up-to-date on LGA regulations and bylaws.

Criteria

  1. Previous experience as an account officer or relationship management officer in a Commercial bank or MFB is a plus
  2. Previous experience as a Marketing officer or sales canvasser, or sales merchandiser in an FMCG company is a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, build rapport, and handle sensitive financial information.
  2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
  3. Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in processing transactions, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  4. Customer Service Orientation: A commitment to providing excellent service and building long-term relationships with clients.
  5. Knowledge of LGA Regulations and Byelaws: Understanding of banking regulations, financial products, and services.
  6. Proficiency in Relevant Software: Experience with data management software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Ability to Work Under Pressure: Handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and dealing with demanding clients.
  8. Teamwork and Collaboration: Working effectively with others to achieve common goals.
