Job Summary

The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing financial records, updating client databases, and ensuring accurate entry of transactional data for the organization.

This role is critical to supporting the daily operations of the finance and sales teams, with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, and a working knowledge of basic accounting principles, particularly in a real estate setting.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Accurately input financial and client transaction records into relevant systems.
  2. Verify and confirm receipts for all property-related and operational transactions.
  3. Manage and update client details across databases daily.
  4. Calculate and record realtor commissions daily.
  5. Process staff salaries and ensure accurate deductions and tax remittances
  6. Managed petty cash and ensured proper documentation of office-related expenses
  7. Record operational expenses and maintain a schedule of outstanding payables.
  8. Track site-related expenditures and property transaction receipts.
  9. Assist the CEO with daily updates on client ROI and relevant financial summaries.
  10. File and document all financial records and client transactions promptly and accurately.
  11. Liaise with other departments to support timely financial reporting and record-keeping.

Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role (real estate experience is a plus).
  3. Strong knowledge of MS Excel and basic accounting tools/software.
  4. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive data with integrity and confidentiality.
  7. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
