Job Position: Accountant
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job brief

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets at our Sagamu Factory.

The ideal candidate’s responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage all accounting transactions
  2. Prepare budget forecasts
  3. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  4. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  5. Ensure timely bank payments
  6. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  7. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  8. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  9. Comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements and skills

  1. BSc in Accounting, Finance or a relevant degree
  2. 1-2 work experience as an Accountant
  3. Extensive knowledge of Nigerian accounting principles and tax laws
  4. Hands-on experience with accounting software
  5. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 per month.
