Job Description
- We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
- As an Accountant at Batoil Services, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to guide decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
- Invoicing: Handle invoice processing, purchase orders, payments to suppliers/contractors, and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
- Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processes such as salaries, benefits & compensation packages, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during financial and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 – 3 years of proven experience in accounting and financial management.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or CITN is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, QuickBooks,) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations, accounting standards and Knowledge of Taxation Laws
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
