Job Description
- Our client- Imose Technologies Limited, an indigenous Mobile Phone manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with Nigerian tax laws, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accurate financial records, including ledgers and balance sheets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions such as PAYE, VAT, and Pension Contributions.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including FIRS and State Tax laws.
- Monitor budgets and perform variance analyses.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Support external auditors during audits and implement recommendations.
- Provide accurate financial forecasting and analysis to aid decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Oversee inventory control and cost management.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
Professional Certifications (mandatory or added advantage):
- ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria).
- ACCA, CFA, or similar qualifications are an added advantage.
Working Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting, financial analyst roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Peachtree or Zoho.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Salary and Benefits
- N250,000 to N400,000 per month depending on experience.
