Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team at SAMTL. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the bank’s financial integrity and contributing to its growth and success.
Job Responsibilities
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and analyze financial performance against targets.
- Auditing: Assist internal and external auditors with audit requests and provide necessary documentation.
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Accounting Standards: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and implement changes as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the banking industry.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
- Applicant must be chartered with (ACA) certificate.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
