JJ3 is an FMCG distributor. We have been in existence for over 8 years, and we have branches in the following locations: Lagos, Ibadan, Ogun, Ondo, and Osun State.

Job Position: Accountant
Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage all financial transactions and records of J3 Foods and Store International
  2. Implement structured accounting processes and strong internal financial controls.
  3. Develop, document, and enforce internal financial policies, procedures, and workflows.
  4. Standardise financial operations to align with best practices for J3 Foods and Store International
  5. Prepare and submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of all financial transactions.
  7. Reconcile bank statements, monitor transactions, and attend to bank-related issues.
  8. Supervise, mentor, and provide ongoing guidance to Account Officers.
  9. Train and upskill the accounting team to meet company standards.
  10. Conduct periodic performance reviews for Account Officers.
  11. Work closely with the sales and warehouse teams to track stock movements and reconcile daily sales.
  12. Regularly audit inventory (warehouse), procurement, and sales records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  13. Develop and monitor operating budgets and financial forecasts.
  14. Oversee cash flow management to maintain adequate liquidity.
  15. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement profit improvement strategies.
  16. Develop a structured system for payment confirmation to ensure incoming payments are verified promptly.
  17. Implement automated payment tracking systems for transparency.
  18. Monitor credit sales, accounts receivable, and aggressively follow up on overdue payments.
  19. Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate deductions and timely remittances.
  20. Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate taxes, and other statutory obligations.
  21. Provide financial insights to support the MD and management team’s decision-making.
  22. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  23. Advise on investment opportunities and profitability enhancements.
  24. And any other tasks or responsibilities assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department.

Requirements

  1. Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc / M.Sc Degree with 3-8 years of work experience.

Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 per month.
