Job Description

  1. The key account manager will be responsible for handling the most important client accounts in a company.
  2. The key account manager oversees the relationships of the company with its most important clients. They will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term key customers by comprehending their requirements/requests and delivering on solutions.
  3. They will also be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate client needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the clients are met, and help the clients succeed.
  4. The ideal candidate should be apt and strategic in-service delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  2. Develop strategic account plans to achieve business growth and customer retention goals.
  3. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  4. Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  5. Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  6. Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  7. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  8. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  9. Prepare regular financial reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  10. Developing a thorough understanding of key clients’ needs and requirements and preparing customized solutions.
  11. Negotiating contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client’s long-term goals

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience as an accountant or key account manager.
  3. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  4. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  5. In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
  7. Basic computer skills, and experience with accounting software, CRM and Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills
  8. high-profile clientele.
  9. A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
