Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and monitor the supermarket’s budget, ensuring that financial goals and targets are met.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
- Manage payroll functions, including calculating employee salaries, benefits, and tax deductions, and ensure timely payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock reconciliations, and report any discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow, oversee cash handling procedures, and manage banking relationships.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 2- 3 years experience as an accountant preferably in a supermarket is an added advantage
- A professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
N120,000 – N170,000 / Month.
