Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and monitor the supermarket’s budget, ensuring that financial goals and targets are met.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
  • Manage payroll functions, including calculating employee salaries, benefits, and tax deductions, and ensure timely payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock reconciliations, and report any discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow, oversee cash handling procedures, and manage banking relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 2- 3 years experience as an accountant preferably in a supermarket is an added advantage
  • A professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary
N120,000 – N170,000 / Month.
