Job Description

  1. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  2. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to track financial transactions, analyze budgets, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Job Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization.
  2. Record and categorize financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expenses.
  3. Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and filed.

Financial Reporting:

  1. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Generate financial reports on a regular basis to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
  3. Present financial information to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Assist in the development of annual budgets in collaboration with relevant departments.
  2. Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
  3. Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.

Tax Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  2. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
  3. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization.

Audit Preparation:

  1. Facilitate and coordinate external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  2. Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial control and reporting processes.
  3. Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to established financial procedures.

Financial Analysis:

  1. Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
  2. Identify areas for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and overall process improvement.
  3. Collaborate with management to support strategic financial decision-making.

Payroll Processing:

  1. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  2. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and address any discrepancies.
  3. Maintain payroll records and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a similar industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  1. ICAN or equivalent professional certification.
  2. Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing accounting standards and regulations.
  4. Familiar with the use of QuickBooks

N150,000 – N200,000 monthly.
