Job Position: Accountant
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
  2. Handle all accounts payable and receivable daily to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate
  3. Reconcile all business accounts to ensure records match up and no transaction gets lost
  4. Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly
  5. Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing cheques, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing cheques as necessary
  6. Follow up with vendors for accounts payable, and keep in touch as needed for collections, and ensure bills are paid on time
  7. Prepare quarterly report using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings
  8. Assist the team or other staff with accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma required, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is highly valued
  2. Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in human resources.
  3. An accounting background added an advantage
  4. Must be a Female.
  5. Experience & Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  6. Proficient in Excel usage
  7. Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Other Requirements:

  1. Interested candidates must reside in Lagos, preferably within this key region (Festac Town, Mile 2, Satellite Town, Ojo Town, Igando, Abule-Ado and environs).
