Job Position: Accounting Assistant

Job Location: Kano

Job Description

  1. Ensure payment and disbursement of cash for daily request.
  2. Compile and prepare daily cash and check request.
  3. Raise Request for cash and check.
  4. Maintain register for cash and travel advance and assist with budget preparation.
  5. Ensure costs are correctly entered into template for advance retirements.
  6. Ensure monthly chargebacks of vehicle gate pass, diesel and petrol issuance.
  7. Assist in preparing invoice as at when due and raise adjustment journal when necessary.
  8. Assist in handling queries from donor/project manager.
  9. Assist in monthly computation and upload into Oracle platform.
  10. Assist in stations’ imprest replenishment and review of reconciliation statements.
  11. Assist in reviewing support documents and claims from stations’;
  12. Assist with other duties such as Oracle invoicing, incoming funds, administrative duties.
  13. Perform any other function as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements
Qualification:

  1. National Diploma in Accounting or other related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:

  1. Have excellent communication skills (writing, reading, oral).
  2. Have a strong analytical mind.
  3. Be very good with computer applications, especially Oracle.
  4. Be a good team player, and honest.
  5. Have a very pleasant personality.
