Job Position: Accounting Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in preparing, examining, and analysing accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  2. Preparation of final accounts on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis.
  3. Assist in computing taxes owed and prepare tax returns, PAYE, VAT, WHT, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
  4. Assist in computing and Remitting Statutory deductions such as ITF, NSITF, Pension and NHF in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Posting and reconciliation of transactions on the company’s accounting platform
  6. Appraise, evaluate, and take inventory of company assets while maintaining an asset register.
  7. Recording, Reconciling, and Posting Petty cash and Fuel imprest.
  8. Reconciliation of payments and receipts
  9. Confirmation of customer deposits and Issuance of receipts.
  10. Setting up and updating customers’ payment records.
  11. Preparation and payment of the monthly payroll.
  12. And perform any other responsibility that may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc., HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in a relevant accounting role.
  3. A professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, is an added advantage.
  4. Experience using practical and hands-on Excel. Experience with SAGE is an added advantage.
  5. Must be analytical, pay attention to detail and provide excellent customer service.
  6. Experience in construction and real estate is an asset.
