Job Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Osborne, Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales, and receipts
  2. Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
  4. Manage petty cash transactions and maintain proper records
  5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  6. Support financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  7. Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable
  8. Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting
  3. ICAN certification in progress or partially completed is mandatory
  4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
  6. Good organisational and time management skills
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  8. Must live within proximity to Osborne, V.I.
