Job Position: Accounts Officer
Location: Wuse 2 – Apo Mall, Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Record and reconcile daily sales from POS and cash registers across outlets.
  2. Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, and receipts into accounting software.
  3. Monitor and reconcile cash, bank, and petty cash balances.
  4. Track and process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and utility bills.
  5. Support monthly stock count and reconcile inventory variances with the store and kitchen teams.
  6. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries for management.
  7. Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and expense monitoring.
  8. Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (e.g., VAT, PAYE, pension).
  9. Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
  10. Maintain proper filing and safeguarding of financial records.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 2 – 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Quick Service Restaurant or retail environment.
  3. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  4. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
