Job Position: Accounts Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
The main purpose of an account officer is to analyse financial activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect invoices/bills and make payments, ensuring the prevailing financial rules and regulations of Practical Action.
- Prepare bank drafts and arrange for fund transfers against the payment of instalments to partners and other service providers as necessary.
- Calculate tax and other deductions to deduct from the source while making payment.
- Process the travel and other expenditure claims in compliance with the policies and procedures.
- Make salary payment on time and provide salary transfer notice to staff members.
- Handle petty cash.
- Enter financial data into a computerised accounting system and run reports.
- Provide accounting services to the concerned, especially regarding the status of the budget and expenditure.
- Keep Practical and informed of changes to the accounting system/ structure/ procedures through training/presentation.
- Keep financial documents and records to meet the Group and subsidiaries’ requirements.
- Keep liaison with the bank and other government institutions in the Finance functions.
- Maintain the filing of the Finance area.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience.
- Applicants must reside within Abuja & its environs.
Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / Month.
