The Dog Food Shop Limited has adopted a solutions-oriented approach towards the delivery of world-class, discriminately selected brands of dry and wet foods, supplements and non-food products for your dogs and cats.

Job Position: Accounts Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Process customer invoices daily
  2. Set up new customer accounts
  3. Monitor accounts payable invoices
  4. Verification and accreditation for new vendors
  5. Generate and send monthly statements to customers
  6. Ensure that receivables are collected promptly, including calls and emails to customers, and internal escalations as required for problem accounts.
  7. Bank deposits and cash application
  8. Reconcile monthly deposits and process monthly bank reconciliations
  9. Maintaining the general ledger, recording cash receipts and financial transactions.
  10. Supporting team on month-end close procedures and assist company accountant with the preparation of quarterly and yearly reports
  11. Act as back-up to Office Manager
  12. Other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum OND in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
  • 2 years professional experience.

Job Requirements & Skills:

  1. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  3. Proficiency in QuickBooks
  4. Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  5. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendors
  6. Able to work as a team player
  7. Open to development of skills and knowledge
  8. Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
  9. Excellent customer service
  10. Preference for applicant resident in Surulere or environs.

Salary
N70,000 – N100,000 / month.
