Job Description

  1. We are seeking a Manager, Acquiring Partner who will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with banks and providers to enhance Flutterwave settlement capabilities.
  2. You will also oversee the management and growth of relationships with key acquiring partners, ensuring smooth operations, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our acquiring capabilities.
  3. This role requires a deep understanding of the payments landscape, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner banks.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and its banking partners.
  3. Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities with banks to enhance payment solutions.
  4. Analyze existing payment processes, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Settlement Operations, Chargeback & Refunds, Treasury, Treasury Assurance, Reconciliation, and Compliance, to ensure alignment and integration of strategies.
  6. Analyse key metrics to measure the success and impact of engagements.
  7. Track and report on the performance of banking partnerships.
  8. Monitor market trends, and industry regulations to identify opportunities and threats.
  9. Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations in payment operations, recommending and implementing new tools or systems to enhance efficiency.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, IT, or a relevant field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in payment operations, strategy development, or a similar role within the fintech or payments industry.
  3. Proven track record of designing and executing successful payment operational strategies.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make strategic recommendations.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Proficiency in payment processing systems, technologies, and industry regulations.
  7. Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently.
