Job Position: Finance & Administrative Officer
Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Responsibilities
The Finance and Administrative Officer’s duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage all accounting transactions and prepare budget forecasts
- Document financial transactions and publish financial statements in time
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable while ensuring timely bank payments
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options
- Prepare accurate work papers, schedules, and reconciliation for audit purposes
- Ensure that all standardised finance procedures are understood and respected by all team members
- Maintain a daily management of the accounts, keep reports and provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports about the cash flow and expenditures
- Prepare and remit the monthly Statutory and taxes payments and ensuring the paperwork corresponds with the accruals
- Ensure all cash payments and other payments and paperwork correspond and follow due procedures and protocols
- Provide budget planning for future expenditures of the current month and project costs
- Prepare service or casual contracts in collaboration with the logistic department,
- Respect and comply to labour laws of Nigeria and liaise with relevant authorities when necessary
- Help in writing official letters, bank request letters, drafting work contracts etc. and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained
- Manage office operations including administration and logistics
Job Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification of an Accounting University Degree or equivalent
- Up to 3 years of working experience in finance, accounting and administrative functions
- Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification
- Practical and thorough understanding of the principles of Accounting & Financial Management
- Strong experience in target setting and forecasting
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software and ERPs
- Strong MS Excel Skills
- Good Oral and written Communication skills
