Job Position: AI Engineer (Intern)

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. We are looking for an AI Engineer Intern that would primarily be using cutting-edge machine learning to tackle complex problems.
  2. The ideal candidate must have knowledge or coursework in topics such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to support projects.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assisting with the development of technologies and products that leverage Artificial Intelligence to provide the discriminating capability to our customers.
  2. Utilizing current AI paradigms including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, applying these techniques to help solve complex problems and field innovative solutions.
  3. Conducting statistical analysis and interpreting the results so that they can guide the organization’s decision-making process.
  4. Automating important infrastructure for the Data Science team.
  5. Developing infrastructures for data transformation and ingestion.
  6. Explaining the usefulness of the AI models they create to a wide range of individuals within the organization, including stakeholders and product managers.
  7. Must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree or Coursework in Engineering, Computer Science, in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience using machine learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow,, etc.)
  3. Experience with Python and multiple libraries (NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, etc.)
  4. Experience with C++, Java, GO, and other compiled languages
  5. Familiarity with DevOps tools: Docker, Git [GitLab, GitHub], Continuous Integration [CI], Continuous Deployment [CD]
  6. Familiarity with modern Computer Vision Familiarity with high-performance computing
  7. Familiarity with network/messaging (UDP, ZeroMQ, RESTful API, etc.)
  8. Familiarity interfacing with databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.).
