Job Position: Application Lead – IT Application Support

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

As an IT Application Support Specialist – SAP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP systems, supporting our business operations across Nigeria. Your responsibilities will include:

Provide Level 2/3 SAP Application Support:

  1. Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues
  2. Provide timely and effective solutions to user queries and incidents
  3. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures

Manage SAP Incidents and Service Requests:

  1. Prioritise and manage incidents and service requests
  2. Adhere to defined SLAs and KPIs
  3. Escalate issues to relevant teams as needed

Job Requirements

  1. Proficient in SAP Modules – PP, QM and MM
  2. Good understanding of SAP Master data requirements
  3. Prior experience in managing SAP service requests -L1 Tickets
  4. Good knowledge of Business Process – Procure to pay, Produce to finish, Order to cash
  5. Have worked in some key projects – SAP, other applications
  6. Good individual contributor and team player

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Level 1 application support team for a manufacturing organisation, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  2. Ensure the stability and optimal performance of our SAP applications.
  3. Coordinate and collaborate effectively with business users, vendor teams, and internal IT teams to deliver robust application solutions and enhancements.
  4. Drive and manage medium-to-large-scale SAP projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  5. Analyse and interpret data to provide insightful management reports, aiding in informed decision-making.
  6. Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.
  7. Champion continuous improvement for application support processes.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP applications.
  2. Strong demonstrated experience in managing Level 1 application support within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Excellent analytical skills with a strong aptitude for data analysis and management reporting.
  4. Experience in leading and managing IT projects, particularly within SAP.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Exposure to Tableau or other Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools is a plus.
  7. Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
