Job Position: Architect / Site Engineer

Job Locations: Abuja (FCT), Enugu, Lagos & Rivers

Job Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Conceptualization: Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define project objectives and feasibility. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  2. Architectural Design and Development: Develop detailed architectural drawings, and specifications; handle solution-driven design concepts, presentations, and proposals according to client’s brief. Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.
  3. Quantity Surveying: Ensuring the plans, drawings and quantities are accurate for calculations; setting out, levelling and surveying the site
  4. Budget Management: Assist in developing project budgets and timelines. Monitor project costs and make design adjustments to stay within budget.
  5. Collaboration and Coordination: Work with engineers, contractors, interior designers, and other professionals. Ensure architectural design integrates seamlessly with the project plan.
  6. Quality Control and Construction Oversight: Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications. Conduct site visits and inspections.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Communicate project progress and challenges to clients and stakeholders. Incorporate client feedback into the design process.
  8. Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Integrate sustainable design principles and environmentally friendly materials when applicable.
  9. Safety Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address design-related challenges.
  10. Government Agencies: Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc in Architecture or related fields.
  2. Minimum of three years’ experience on site.
  3. Professional certification is an added advantage.
  4. Structural engineering, project management and quantity surveying knowledge is a crucial advantage.
