Job Position: Assistant General Manager – Quality Assurance, Research & Development

Job Location: Gboko, Benue

Job Description

  1. Responsible for Quality Assurance Department, ensuring adherence to quality targets set for both materials in process and finished product.
  2. To ensure product conforms to NIS specification.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  2. Devise and review specifications for products or processes
  3. Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
  4. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
  5. Liaison with external regulatory agencies and auditors
  6. Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
  7. Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
  8. Approve the right products or reject defectives
  9. Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  10. Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
  11. Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
  12. Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
  13. Perform any other duty that be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • M.Sc. (Chemistry) / HND or B.Sc. (Chemical Eng.)+ 21 Yrs experience

Other Requirements:

  1. Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  2. Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  3. Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
  4. Outstanding communication skills
  5. Great attention to detail and a results driven approach
  6. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  7. Reliable and Trustworthy.
