Job Position: Assistant Manager, Instrumentation
Location: Ibese Plant, Ogun

Job Summary

Overall responsibility for the cement mills’ implementation of instrumentation engineering and maintenance policies, with company policies and procedures to ensure optimal plant availability for production

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance in conjunction with relevant Section Heads
  2. Ensure compliance with all electrical equipment by DCP/local safety regulations
  3. Ensure electrical maintenance activities are performed in a safe, professional manner, by industry standards, environmental restrictions, original equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and DCP Standard Operating Procedures
  4. Oversee technical staff in the performance of their duties and provide expertise as required.
  5. Enforce accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations.
  6. Proper solutions to solve electrical problems to ensure the optimisation of equipment reliability.
  7. Ensure safekeeping of materials, tools, and equipment.
  8. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Instrumentation Maintenance.

Education and Work Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, HND or related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 11 years of post-qualification experience, HND – 14 years of experience.
  3. Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
  4. Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods. Extensive knowledge of Instrumentation engineering.
  5. Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
  6. Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM
  7. Good oral and written communication skills
  8. Organizational Awareness
  9. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  10. Innovation & Creativity.
