Job Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Description
Operational Efficiency:

  1. Oversee the opening and closing of the bistro as per the appropriate time of your shift
  2. Work with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products.
  3. Follow up conclusively on external order deliveries to customers.
  4. Pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes should be communicated promptly
  5. Communicate with guests and colleagues using a positive and clear speaking voice.
  6. Work with the facility team to ensure up-to-date maintenance on all Bistro equipment.
  7. Advise improvement measures that helps maintain consistent quality service.
  8. Advise strategies for improving our customers’ dining experience.
  9. Identify and advise areas in which the Bistro can decrease its operational costs.

Business Development:

  • Work with the Bistro Manager to support revenue generation efforts.
  • Train staff members on ways to cross-sell and up-sell products and offerings to customers.
  • Support budget implementations to ensure revenue are met with marginal cost implications.

Compliance:

  1. Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
  2. Oversee our kitchen staff’s compliance with all health code and sanitation requirements.
  3. Ensure all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely matter.
  4. Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by the team.
  5. Ensure that the floor team members, including you, are appropriately dressed at all times.

Food Safety and Hygiene:

  • Ensure that kitchen and Bar staffs have the complete PPE on during work (PPE include, hair nets, nose masks etc)
  • Ensure daily cleaning and sanitization of the environment in and around the Bistro.

Customer Experience:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and lead your team to do same.
  2. Follow up with customers to get feedback on dining experience.
  3. Maintain an up to date database of customers on a daily and monthly basis. (Database should show, on a monthly basis, returning customers, new customers and inactive customers).
  4. Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively.
  5. Send “Thank You” emails to customers after they leave (with a link to leave a review).
  6. Ensure that customer review is not less than a 4 star rating.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
  2. Minimum of 2 years work experience.
