Job Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the opening and closing of the bistro as per the appropriate time of your shift
- Work with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products.
- Follow up conclusively on external order deliveries to customers.
- Pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes should be communicated promptly
- Communicate with guests and colleagues using a positive and clear speaking voice.
- Work with the facility team to ensure up-to-date maintenance on all Bistro equipment.
- Advise improvement measures that helps maintain consistent quality service.
- Advise strategies for improving our customers’ dining experience.
- Identify and advise areas in which the Bistro can decrease its operational costs.
Business Development:
- Work with the Bistro Manager to support revenue generation efforts.
- Train staff members on ways to cross-sell and up-sell products and offerings to customers.
- Support budget implementations to ensure revenue are met with marginal cost implications.
Compliance:
- Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
- Oversee our kitchen staff’s compliance with all health code and sanitation requirements.
- Ensure all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely matter.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by the team.
- Ensure that the floor team members, including you, are appropriately dressed at all times.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Ensure that kitchen and Bar staffs have the complete PPE on during work (PPE include, hair nets, nose masks etc)
- Ensure daily cleaning and sanitization of the environment in and around the Bistro.
Customer Experience:
- Provide exceptional customer service and lead your team to do same.
- Follow up with customers to get feedback on dining experience.
- Maintain an up to date database of customers on a daily and monthly basis. (Database should show, on a monthly basis, returning customers, new customers and inactive customers).
- Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively.
- Send “Thank You” emails to customers after they leave (with a link to leave a review).
- Ensure that customer review is not less than a 4 star rating.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience.
