Job Position: Assistant Regional Manager

Job Location: Onitsha, Anambra

Job Responsibilities

  1. Deliver strategic and sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for the assigned region.
  2. Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networking
  3. Opens new accounts, expands sales on existing accounts
  4. Possess detailed knowledge of the company, our products, the industry and the competitive market in the region, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfil the company’s business goals
  5. Manage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needs
  6. Build relationships with customers based upon trust and respect
  7. Orchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting the company’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions
  8. Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting
  9. Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results
  10. Manages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  11. Work with Strategic Marketing to identify, analyze and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs
  12. Build highly collaborative relationships between the company and the region to include: senior leadership, procurement, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, etc. with a view of enhancing sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer needs
  13. Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials
  14. Communicates competitive developments in the region base regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report system
  15. Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
  16. Promotion of product image and awareness in the Nigerian Market space.
  17. Coordination of business activities and personnel in the region
  18. Creation of product information manual for marketing purposes
  19. Sale and product penetration drive for the company’s products to prospective customers and institutions.
  20. Territorial coverage of product and revenue management with target markets for appointment of distributors:
  21. Credit and debt management within the company policies and procedure.
  22. Professional and ethical Sales and Marketing of company products
  23. Weekly and Monthly reports on market trends, revenue and income positions to the Executive management.
  24. Creation of procedures and processing for effective operations.
  25. Execution and participation in internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Pharmacy or related discipline is strongly desired. MBA will be an added advantage
  • 5 years experience in sales and business development and 2 years experience as a manager

  • Excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to work with colleagues in the region and other regions as well.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
  • Attention to detail is a must; the ability to exercise discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
