Job Position: Audit Officer (Process & Operations)
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operational Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness and compliance of our operational processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategic plans to enhance productivity and performance.

Job Responsibilities
Audit Planning and Implementation

  1. Plan, implement, and oversee operational audits in accordance with audit plans and company policies.
  2. Monitor and ensure departmental SOPs are followed and implemented.

Audit Findings and Reporting:

  1. Document audit findings and create detailed reports for management review.
  2. Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Process Improvement:

  1. Analyse business processes and recommend improvements.
  2. Monitor and ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.

Risk Management:

  1. Monitor delivery and dispatch of consignments in conformity with approved internal processes and policies.
  2. Identify and assess operational risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Communication and Follow-up:

  1. Communicate with departments to ensure full understanding of non-compliance issues and business risks.
  2. Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions.

Professional Development:

  1. Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards

Qualifications

  1. BSc degree in a numerate discipline.
  2. Proven work experience as an Operational Auditor, Internal Auditor, or similar role.
  3. Strong understanding of auditing principles and methodologies.
  4. Knowledge of industry legal and regulatory guidelines.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  6. Strong proficiency in computer skills.
  7. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  8. A Certificate in Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a plus.
