Job Position: Auditor (Manufacturing / Retail Industry)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

The Auditor will be responsible for conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits across the organisation to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of business processes.

The role will focus on identifying risks, preventing fraud, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending improvements to enhance controls, particularly within retail and manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular internal audits of financial records, stock, procurement, and operational processes.
  2. Review accounting records, invoices, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
  3. Monitor internal controls to detect weaknesses, risks, or fraudulent activities.
  4. Assess compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes in inventory management, supply chain, and production cycles.
  6. Carry out spot checks on retail outlets, warehouses, and manufacturing units to ensure transparency.
  7. Prepare clear, detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
  8. Collaborate with finance, operations, and compliance teams to address audit findings.
  9. Recommend cost-saving strategies, risk mitigation approaches, and process improvements.
  10. Support external auditors during statutory audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. ICAN/ACCA certification (part or fully qualified) preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3–5 years’ audit experience in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.
  4. Strong knowledge of audit procedures, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and compliance standards.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and audit software.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  7. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Salary Range
N650,000 – N750,000 monthly (Gross).
