Job Position: Automation Test Analyst

Job Description

  • We are currently recruiting to fill the position of Automation Test Analyst for the software testing unit, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.

Job Requirements

You are responsible for the following:

  • To design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, identify defects, ensure efficiency. increase test coverage, streamline testing procedures and reliability of the software development process.

Other Requirements
Education:

  1. BSc. or HND in Electrical / Electronics, Computer Engineering, ICT or IT related discipline
  2. Fluent in English

Experience:

  1. Experience working in a medium sized organization.
  2. Experience in information and communication technology (ICT) preferably in Telecommunications, Banking, FMCG or an ICT-related industry.
  3. Maintenance and execution of automated test suites developed using a bespoke solution.
  4. Working closely with functional testers to help support them in the automation of existing test&.
  5. Timely documentation and reporting of defects and tracking till closure.
  6. Designing, developing and documenting code and packages for test automation purposes using automation tool and/or development languages Java, Visual Basic or C3
  7. Define, build and document the test automation framework.
  8. Collaborate with Functional testers and development teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
  9. Execute and analyze automated rest results, identifying and reporting issues.
  10. Contribute to the development and enhancement of automation frameworks to improve scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  11. Implement best practices for automation, ensuring the reliability of test scripts.
  12. Work closely with functional testers engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  13. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
  14. Contribute to the development of test plans and test cases.
  15. Execute manual tests when necessary and provide support for manual testing efforts.
  16. Identify and report defects through the automated testing process.
  17. Collaborate with the functional team to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  18. Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and architecture
  19. Support Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities
  20. Certification is any of the following would be an added advantage; ISTQB Test Foundation, SCRUM, Agile, PMP, ITIL Foundation, etc.

Job Levels
This role has 4 different levels:

  1. Junior  – Maximum of 2 years
  2. Intermediate – 2 to 4 years’ experience
  3. Senior  –  4 to 6 years
  4. Expert – Minimum of 6 years’ experience
