Job Description
- Patient Care: Providing direct care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or other healthcare professionals. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Taking and recording patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Medication Assistance: Assisting with medication administration, including administering oral medications, applying topical treatments, and assisting with the preparation of injections (under the supervision of a registered nurse).
- Basic Medical Procedures: Assisting with basic medical procedures, such as wound dressing, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including observations, treatments given, and any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Communication: Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide information, answer questions, and report any concerns or changes in patients’ conditions.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Ensuring that medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked for patient care.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 5 years relevant work experience.
