Job Position: Back-End Developer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our development team.
  2. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust and scalable APIs using the Laravel framework.
  3. Familiarity with Go is an added advantage for this position.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Implement backend services, APIs, and data integration layers using NestJS as the primary framework. Ensure efficiency, reliability, and adherence to industry standards. Handle data validation, error handling, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  2. Collaborating with architects and technical leads to define scalable and secure system architecture that aligns with the bank’s requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient queries, and implement database access layers for seamless data storage and retrieval.
  4. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Conduct unit tests and contribute to automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and robustness.
  5. Document system design. APIs, user interfaces, and implementation details.
  6. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing platforms and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and foster a collaborative environment.

Job Requirements

  1. Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
  2. Experience with RESTful API design and development
  3. Strong understanding of databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  4. Proficient in Git and version control
  5. Familiarity with Go is a plus.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug issues
  7. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Salary

  • N5,000,000 – N6,000,000 Annually.
